Slade trials former charge
Grimsby Town manager Russell Slade has handed a trial to striker Clint Marcelle from Conference club Scarborough.
The Trinidad & Tobago hit-man, who played for Slade at Scarborough last season, will have the chance to return to League football with The Mariners.
The 35-year-old has had previous League experience with Barnsley, Scunthorpe United, Hull City and Darlington.
Marcelle joins fellow trialist Jean-Gabin Moubeke in training with the League Two club, as the French striker has impressed Slade so far this pre-season.
Two other trialists - Gilles Noto and Denis D'Amico - have both returned to France after failing to impress the Blundell Park club.
