Woodhouse committed to Posh

Peterborough United have been handed a boost by the news that midfielder Curtis Woodhouse has requested to come off the transfer list at London Road.

Former England Under-21 international Woodhouse is one of the most sought after footballers in the lower leagues, with Hull City already having a £100,000 offer rejected.

Oldham Athletic were also keen on landing the former Sheffield United and Birmingham City player this summer, but Woodhouse has now decided to commit his immediate future to Barry Fry's side.

"With the season starting, I want to end any speculation of me leaving the club and concentrate on the new campaign," Woodhouse told the club's official website.

"With me being on the transfer list, people could openly speculate about my future and that can be distracting, so with me coming off the list, it shows my intentions - I want to stay this season and give it my all with no distractions."
