Guly to make Argentina return
The 30-year-old has spent the past few seasons in Serie A but has decided to head back to Argentina to link up with Boca.
'Guly' was on loan to Bologna last season for the final year of his contract with Italian giants Internazionale.
He previously played for Inter's city rivals Milan but is now looking forward to signing for Boca.
"My agent has told me that he has reached an agreement with Boca and that I will be doing the medical in the next few days," he told Radio La Red.
"I hope everything goes okay but I don't want to talk too much about this until I sign the contract.
"If that happens in the next few days I will start work at once with my new team-mates."
Boca coach Miguel Brindisi believes 'Guly's' versatility will be a potent weapon for the Argentine titans.
Brindisi said: "In Italy he had a good performance playing on both sides of the midfield.
"He even knows how to play as a striker when the team needs him to do that so I think he is a player that can give a big profit to Boca."
