PSG in transfer talks

Le Mans forward Fabrice Pancrate fears he is being priced out of a dream move to Paris Saint Germain.

Pancrate is expected to leave Le Mans following their relegation from Ligue 1 but the club are demanding a ‚é¼5 million transfer fee.

PSG and Le Mans are negotiating regarding the 24-year-old's price, with Pancrate understood to be close to concurring on a four-year deal with Vahid Halilhodzic's side.

But the highly-regarded attacker is worried Le Mans' price tag will deter PSG from pushing through their interest in his services.

"It is exorbitant," bemoaned Pancrate to L'Equipe. "I scored five goals and had six assists last season. It is not too bad but we must not exaggerate.

"When I see Vahirua could join Nice for ‚é¼460,000 or Jerome Leroy could be transferred for ‚é¼800,000, I can't say to myself that I can be worth ‚é¼5 million.

"Paris is a mythical club in France. Today, every player wants to join them.

"On Sunday, I talked with my chairman and he knows my wish. However, he has a firm position.

"But he is an intelligent man and we will find a solution. I am open to anything.

"I won't miss a chance to join Paris. I have nothing against Le Mans but I have always dreamed of being contracted to a great club."
