Pitt tries luck with Luton
The 22-year-old has been looking for a new club following his release from League Two outfit Oxford United at the end of last season.
Pitt only joined The U's as a Bosman free on transfer deadline day from Pompey last March, but he failed to impress manager Graham Rix in the latter stages of the campaign.
The midfielder now looks have a fresh opportunity to show his abilities to Hatters boss Mike Newell, having played on loan with the Bedfordshire outfit in the early part of last season.
Meanwhile, Luton are mourning the death of former chairman Brian Cole, who was chief of The Hatters in the late 1980's.
