Bakke reiterates Leeds desire
The former Sogndal ace is now one of the highest earners on the payroll following a string of big-name departures from the financially challenged outfit.
Bakke missed the majority of Leeds' relegation campaign last term and is keen to repay the club's faith in him by staying and fighting for the team in The Championship.
Manager Kevin Blackwell has stated he sees the hard-working midfielder as a key player in his plans, a move that has galvanised Bakke.
"After being injured all last year I want to play a part again here. I enjoy myself at Leeds," said Bakke to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"Clubs wanted me to go to The Premiership, but I'm happy at Leeds and I want to help the club get back up.
"It's good that the manager has said he wants me in the team, particularly after the other players that have gone."
Despite showing excellent commitment to the side, it remains to be seen whether the Elland Road side will be able to afford the star's wages outside the top flight.
