Anelka denies racist talk
The talented Frenchman spoke last week of the racial abuse he has suffered in his career, but Anelka denies that these claims are related to his time in Manchester.
On the contrary, Anelka believes City's supporters are exemplary in their behaviour and deserving of his praise.
''I have been subjected to racial abuse in the past - before I came to City,'' said Anelka.
''My worst experience was at Real Madrid when we were playing away from home and there were also times like that in France with PSG.
''But since I have been at City, I have never been abused by the supporters of any team - let alone my own fans.
''Our supporters have backed me all the way and they are the best I have ever played for.''
Meanwhile, reports emanating from France are suggesting talented Marseille striker Mido has set his heart on a move to Eastlands and is desperate to complete a loan deal.
Boss Kevin Keegan has admitted his admiration for the player and could be ready to step up his interest next week.
