Boston seal Gazza coup
The mercurial former England international has always expressed an interest in becoming a coach and has now decided to begin his new career at York Street.
Gascoigne will combine his coaching duties with playing, after looking fit and sharp in a couple of pre-season games for Steve Evans' outfit.
Boston chairman Jon Sotnick has confirmed that his ambitious club will hold a press conference on Monday - where Gascoigne will be formally introduced to the media.
Talking to Sky Sports News, Gascoigne spoke of his delight at joining a club with ambitious plans for the future.
''I'm very well, more than excited,'' he informed Sky Sports News. ''I joined Boston because they are more than just a family club and hugely ambitious.
''The chairman wants this club to go further and it is really exciting for me.
''I'll try to give this place a lift - I've got something to get up for now - and it's certainly given me a major lift.
''When I sat down with the chairman he showed me the plans for a new stadium and that was enough for me.
''He has turned the club around in just a month and that has really impressed me. It has nothing to do with wages but he has been very supportive.
''The main thing is about his plans for the football.
''I couldn't sleep last night as I just want to get started. I just want to get on with things.
''I want to do something on the pitch. When I'm playing I need to forget about the coaching and vice versa when I'm coaching.''
