NAC looking for Rick deal

NAC Breda are making slow progress in their attempts to broker a deal for Rick Hoogendorp.

The striker has been informed he can leave RKC Waalwijk on a free transfer, despite having some time to run on his contract.

NAC are keen on landing the talented 29-year-old and have tabled an offer to the player's representative, but it has not met with the response they desired.

RKC are keen to remove Hoogendorp's wages from the bill, but he is looking for a similar salary from NAC.

NAC have insisted they cannot match his present deal and are looking to strike a compromise.

"I have got the impression he likes NAC, but it is a financial issue," NAC coach Ton Lokhoff told AD Sportwereld.

"After the financial problems we have had, this club has set a clear limit on how much we can pay a player."
