Remco move unlikely

Vitesse's bid to sign PSV midfielder Remco van der Schaaf look set to end in failure.

The 25-year-old has failed to make his mark in Eindhoven and Vitesse have expressed interest in bringing him back to the Gelredome.

Talks were at an advanced stage, but the sticking point appeared to be wages as Vitesse have been working on a shoestring budget.

Vitesse were looking for PSV to absorb some of his wages, but it would appear that this will not happen.

"Because Vitesse and PSV could not reach an agreement, Vitesse will look at other options in the market," Vitesse said in a statement on their website.
