Australian defender Con Blatsis has been handed a trial by Dutch outfit Twente. The 27-year-old defender is on the lookout for a new club, having severed his ties with Turkish outfit Kocaelispor, and has been taking trials all over Europe.
Coventry City had a look at the former Derby County man earlier in the summer, but Sky Blues boss Peter Reid failed to follow up his interest.
Blatsis has now pitched up in Holland and will be handed a chance to shine in a Twente side's clash against amateur outfit Stevo on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Spira Grujic could end up staying at Twente on reduced terms after failing to find a new home.
The defender was unhappy with Twente's contract offer and vowed to find a new club.
However, no firm offers have arrived and he is now mulling over whether to ink Twente's contract.
