Milton Keynes Dons manager Stuart Murdoch is hopeful midfielder Alex Tapp will return to action next month.The 22-year-old seriously damaged his cruciate knee ligament in late January and was told he needed nine months to recover from the injury blow.
Following an operation to repair the damage, Tapp has been making good progress with the joint and Murdoch hopes to have the player available in the next few weeks.
"He's making good progress and we hope he'll be back in September," Murdoch said.
"He's halfway through the last stage of his rehab.
"He's been out for a while, so we have to be patient with him."
