Monaco striker Shabani Nonda has denied that he is set to leave the Principality outfit. The pacey Congolese forward has continually been linked with a move away from Monaco, with coach Didier Deschamps thought to be ready to sacrifice Nonda in a summer clear out.
However, the player has moved to quell these rumours by suggesting he is at present more than content with last season's beaten UEFA Champions League finalists.
''I have no news of that. No club has contacted me,'' confirmed Nonda.
''In my mind, I am a Monaco player until the end of the season.
''The last time I met the Monaco officials, we talked about a possible contract extension.
''Monaco did make me an offer, but for the moment we couldn't find an agreement.''
Deschamps is known to be in the market for a forward but Nonda insists he is unperturbed by new arrivals at the club.
''That is logical,'' he continued. ''Last season Monaco failed by a lack of a larger group.
''Now the club has means, it is logical Didier Deschamps is looking for great players.
''I don't feel frustrated or worried. If a great French or foreign club would contact me in the coming days and if Monaco would be satisfied with that offer, then I would study the question.
''But I don't really want to leave. But if I feel Monaco don't trust me anymore, things could be different.''
