Sava wants Fulham exit

Argentine striker Facundo Sava is looking to quit Fulham to secure regular playing time.

Sava has been a peripheral figure in West London since joining Fulham in a £2 million switch from Gimnasia two years ago.

He has struggled with injuries during his English career and made just nine appearances for the club last season.

The 30-year-old does not feel he has the backing of Cottagers boss Chris Coleman and is looking to move on from the club.

"You need to win your manager's confidence straight away," commented Sava.

"I don't think I will get many chances to play for Fulham so maybe something will come up elsewhere."

Sava's path to the first team has been blocked by summer arrivals Andy Cole and Tomasz Radzinski while Collins John was brought in during January's transfer window.

In addition, the angular forward also picked up a knee injury in pre-season which dented his chances of impressing Coleman.

He has been forced to miss the start of the new campaign and the injury could prevent Sava clinching a move away from Craven Cottage before the close of the transfer window.

Radzinski, meanwhile, will be staying with The Cottagers after being ruled out of the Canada squad for Wednesday's vital Concacaf zone World Cup qualifier against Guatemala in Vancouver.

The striker was forced to pull out after picking up a calf injury in Fulham's 1-1 draw at Manchester City to start the Premiership season on Saturday.
