Youri Djorkaeff has revealed he decided to quit Bolton after the club changed their offer of a new deal for him.The 36-year-old was offered a one-year extension to his contract at The Reebok, but Djorkaeff snubbed the deal feeling the club had broken a promise to him.
Bolton boss Sam Allardyce had been keen to keep the forward, but the former French international felt the offer was not good enough.
"The Bolton chairman left for two months of holidays in Australia and when he came back the proposition had changed," Djorkaeff told L'Equipe.
Djorkaeff is still without a club since leaving Bolton and reports claim the former Monaco and Internazionale could make a move to another English club.
