Thomas Helveg has admitted that he is finding The Premiership a tough proposition, despite spending years in top-flight Italian football.Helveg forged his reputation in Serie A with Internazionale and Milan, but a move to Norwich has handed him a major test.
The 33-year-old defender is enjoying his football with The Canaries - who lost 2-1 to Manchester United at the weekend.
"It's very different, and it's very tough," said Helveg.
"In Italy, when the ball is out of play, everybody is having an easy time.
"Here you just cannot stand and look. You have to concentrate 100 per cent. That is one of the big differences.
"You have to be turned on all the time. You switch off just for a moment and you pay for that.
"You have to concentrate for 90 minutes and be alert for every kind of situation.
"Here you never ever have a break and the football is so fast that it's harder physically as well as mentally."
