Wolves in Korean talks

Wolves have confirmed they are in talks to sign South Korean striker Seol Ki-hyeon.

Wolves have confirmed they are in talks with Belgian giants Anderlecht over the possible transfer of South Korean striker Seol Ki-hyeon.

The 25-year-old made headlines in the summer of 2002 when he scored South Korea's equaliser in their famous win over Italy during his country's co-hosting of the World Cup finals.

According to Anderlecht's official website, Seol has a clause in his contract that allows him to speak with another club should they match the Brussels-based outfit's valuation of the Asian marksman.

Wolves look to have matched that valuation for Seol - thought to be in the region of ‚é¼2 million - and the striker is expected at Molineux on Thursday for a medical with the English Championship side.

The former Royal Antwerp player is expected to sign a three-year contract with the Black Country club - with an option of extending it for another year.

Seol's impending arrival will be timely for Dave Jones's side, who are without fellow hit-man Vio Ganea after the Romanian international was ruled out for up to six months with a knee injury in pre-season.
