Sylvain N'Diaye has snubbed Nantes and Nice to fight for his place at Marseille.

The Senegal midfielder is out of favour at Stade Velodrome and both Nantes and Nice were keen to offer N'Diaye first team football.

However, rather than quit l'OM, N'Diaye has decided to stay on the South Coast in an attempt to force his way in to Jose Anigo's plans.

"Frankly, I have thought about it a lot," said N'Diaye. "But I have decided to earn my place at Marseille.

"It is not easy to do as, like every player, I want to play a lot. But like at any big club, there is competition.

"I asked myself a lot of questions but I don't ask myself anymore now."

Though N'Diaye has pledged his future to Marseille for the immediate future, he is tipped to leave the club during January's transfer window if his situation remains unchanged.
