Messina close on Amoruso

Former Juventus striker Nicola Amoruso looks set to resume his career with Messina.

Amoruso spent last season with Modena but following their relegation to Serie B, saw his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

The striker has been offered a two year deal from the Sicilian outfit and is thought to be ready to sign next week.

However, should Siena enter the face for his signature as some have suggested, it is expected Amoruso could then spurn Messina's advances.

Siena are known to be in the market for a new centre-forward and Amoruso could well fit the bill.
