RBC sign striker

RBC have signed Jesper Hakansson as Sammy Youssouf's replacement.

RBC Roosendaal have been dealt a blow with the news that striker Sammy Youssouf will be sidelined for the next six months, with the club signing Jesper Hakansson as his replacement.

Influential Dane Youssouf was forced to go under the surgeon's knife after failing to shake off a knee injury which plagued him at the end of last season.

The club have been told the surgery passed off without a hitch but will be forced to do without the 22-year-old until next year.

RBC coach Jan van Dijk has been quick to offset the loss of Youssouf by securing the services of Hakansson on a season-long loan deal from Heerenveen.

Hakansson is well down the pecking order at Heerenveen and has jumped at the chance to resurrect his career with RBC.
