Marek staying put

Udinese have announced that Marek Jankulovski will remain with them until next year.

The Czech midfielder rejected a move to CSKA Moscow despite a major offer from the Russian club.

Jankulovski has also courted interest from Juventus this summer, but a move did not materialise, and the player will continue at the Udine club.

"It is the best solution," said coach Luciano Spalletti.

"Marek is both a quality and quantity player.

"He will be useful to me."
