Angel happy with progress

Juan Pablo Angel is happy with the progress Aston Villa are making.

While Villa did not win any silverware last term the Colombian was pleased with the sixth place finish the club achieved.

Some feel Villa should have strengthened more heavily in the close season, however Angel does not see the point on dwelling on missed signings.

"I feel as if we are going in the right direction," said Angel to the club's official website.

"There's no point regretting things or saying we should be buying more players. We just have to look at the hard work we did last season.

"We can have a good go again. We didn't win anything last season, but it was a big success to finish sixth."
