Kily: I stayed to win silverawre

Argentinian midfielder Kily Gonzalez has revealed why he rejected Crystal Palace.

Internazionale midfielder Kily Gonzalez has revealed why he rejected Crystal Palace.

The Eagles had reached an agreement with the Serie A club, but Gonzalez decided to stay because of the challenge.

He said: "I know that the clubs had reached an agreement but I preferred to stay at Inter because it's a personal challenge that I have in this team. This season we have to win something because we are owing that to our fans and ourselves."

Kily has just returned to Inter having represented his country in both the Olympic games and the Copa America, and just wants to get on with playing for his club amidst all the talk of transfers and international commitments.

"I don't want to hear anymore about possible transfers. After playing many games in a row during two months I only had a few days' holiday.

"It's true that I am a little bit tired but it's normal. I have to work very hard to be in the best condition and I want to have a place in the team."
