Acimovic slams Scots
Milenko Acimovic has slammed Scotland for their tactics verses Slovenia.
Slovenia star Milenko Acimovic has slammed Scotland for their play during this week's international and feels Danish referee Claus Bo Larsen did not protect the players. The former Tottenham midfielder feels tackles from the home players were hard and that someone could even have suffered a broken leg.
The World Cup qualifier ended goalless at Hampden Park on Wednesday night and Acimovic is thankful the side emerged with a point and their limbs intact from the encounter.
"It was very hard out there," said Acimovic. "It was very difficult because they kept coming into us hard from behind and it was very hard to keep the ball.
"I had my legs hurt on two occasions and the ref told me to stand up or he would give me a yellow card.
"Afterwards I showed him my big bruises and marks and he said he didn't see it. "I said, 'You must have seen it because he could have broken my leg'.
"Sometimes he let play go on despite the tackles being so hard and that was bad for our attackers because some of them could have had their legs broken."
