Dalmat: I was disappointing
Stephane Dalmat has admitted he failed to live up to expectations at Marseille and PSG.
Former Tottenham Hotspur player Stephane Dalmat has admitted that he failed to live up to his own expectations at both Marseille and Paris Saint German.
The 25-year old midfielder had brief spells at both Marseille and PSG, before moving to Internazionale in 2000.
"Honestly, I didn't do what is needed to succeed," he told L'Equipe
"At both Paris and Marseille I had too much freedom and my discipline was questionable.
"In Italy I learned to fight. I played with Ronaldo and Vieri and gained experience from them."
The Frenchman found it difficult to break into the first team at Inter and last summer secured a season-long loan spell to Tottenham.
However, Dalmat endured a less than successful time in England starting just 15 games.
He is now re-establishing his career at Le Championnat pace-setters Toulouse, and will have a chance to impress against his old club Marseille this weekend.
