Bentley enjoying Norwich life
Norwich City winger David Bentley is delighted with his loan switch to Carrow Road.
Norwich City winger David Bentley has revealed his delight with his loan switch to the Carrow Road club. The 20-year-old joined The Canaries on a season-long loan from Premiership champions Arsenal and has been influential so far in the Norwich attack.
The England Under-21 man looked lively in the goalless draw with Aston Villa on Saturday, despite failing to hit the target with several of his chances.
Londoner Bentley says the rural East Anglia environment has grown on him since joining Nigel Worthington's side, having admitted that he even feeds the cows next to his country home.
"It's nice and quiet up here. I've got a house in a village out in the country - there's even a few cows next to my garden and I feed them," Bentley said.
"I cut the grass and they all come over the fence and have a good munch. A bit of a contrast to Highbury!"
Bentley added that he was disappointed with his shooting against Villa and that everyone at the club are not panicking, despite not having won a match this season.
"I'm disappointed with my shooting, but at least I'm getting into the right positions. It's all down to the execution.
"Hopefully, in the future games, they'll be going in. If the gaps are there, I'm going to keep shooting.
"It doesn't play on our minds that we haven't won yet. It's not that we're being played off the park."
