Latics show duo the door

Oldham Athletic have terminated the contracts of Michael Clegg and Ernie Cooksey. Both players have been deemed surplus to requirements under Brian Talbot's tenure and have now reached agreements over their respective contracts.
Clegg joined The Latics from neighbours Manchester United but struggled to ever hold down a regular first-team spot at Boundary Park.
Talbot is keen to rid his squad of those players only on the periphery of his side and has also wielded the axe on 24-year-old Cooksey.
The combative midfielder was brought to the club by Iain Dowie from Crawley Town and featured in 41 games last season.
It is thought that several clubs have shown an interest in the player, with Rochdale favourites to land his signature.
