Tykes trial Rizzo

Barnsley have handed a trial to Australian midfielder Nick Rizzo.

The young midfielder is looking to kick-start his career in England, following a spell in Italy.

Rizzo numbers Liverpool and Crystal Palace among his previous clubs, while he headed to Italy following his spell at Selhurst Park.

A stint at Prato followed a spell with Ternana, but he has headed back to England after being allowed to move on.

The Tykes have invited the 25-year-old over to Oakwell where he will be put through his paces by Paul Hart's coaching staff.
