Peter Taylor has announced one new cap in his U-21 squad

Peter Taylor has announced one new cap in his Under-21 squad to face Wales and Azerbaijan in the upcoming Uefa Championship qualifers.

Brighton defender Adam Hinshelwood gets the call - Taylor being familiar with the 20-year-old from his days spent in charge of The Seagulls. Hinshelwood joins his team-mate Daniel Harding in the squad.

Otherwise, the Hull City boss has kept faith with those players who helped England to back-to-back victories in Austria and Poland last month.

Taylor has a formidable selection of strikers at his disposal including Carlton Cole, the Chelsea youngster currently on loan at Aston Villa. Cole scored in both the Austria and Poland games, as did Ipswich's Darren Bent - a substitute in both games.

Missing from the squad are Arsenal's Justin Hoyte and West Ham's Anton Ferdinand, who suffered a leg injury during the Poland game.

Gary O'Neil retains the captaincy.
