Larsson: My biggest experience

Henrik Larsson has expressed his delight at scoring the winner against Numancia.

Henrik Larsson enjoyed what he described as his 'biggest experience' in a Barcelona shirt when he scored the winner against Numancia.

The 33-year-old headed in the only goal of the game in front of 86,000 supporters at Camp Nou to send the Catalan giants above Valencia at the top of La Liga.

"That was my biggest experience so far here in Barcelona.

"It was an enormous feeling to head in the winner," Larsson told Expressen.

The striker has begun to settle at his new club and has gained the support of the fans following his move from Celtic in the summer.

"I have missed some chances lately, but the fans are really behind me.

"Now I feel like I have paid them back by scoring the winning goal when we really needed it.

"It is always a pleasure to have the fans behind you," he added.

The Swedish star is not the tallest forward, but he still won the duel against three Numancia players to head the ball into the net.

The strength he showed to outjump three players is all the more remarkable considering he broke his leg in 1999.

On his strength Larsson said: "I have made use of the hard strength training that I went through after I broke my leg.

"I get much higher in the duels."
