Bobson gets Dutch call

Marco van Basten has drafted Kevin Bobson in to his Holland squad.

Marco van Basten has drafted Kevin Bobson in to his Holland squad to compensate for injuries.

With Chelsea winger Arjen Robben and Utrecht's Dave van den Bergh forced out of the World Cup qualifiers through injury, van Basten has called on Bobson.

The Willem II wide man is receiving his first call in to the Oranje squad and it is a reward for his fine form since joining the club.

Bobson linked up with Willem II from Espanyol in the summer and has been in encouraging form on the flank for the Tilburg club.

But though Bobson is in the party for the games against Finland and Macedonia, he is not expected to play.

Van Basten is likely to rely on Feyenoord's Romeo Castelaen for the double-header, with Bobson providing the back-up.
