Agogo attracting interest

Bristol Rovers' Junior Agogo is reportedly attracting interest from The Championship.

Bristol Rovers striker Junior Agogo is reportedly attracting interest from two unnamed Championship sides.

The 25-year-old endured a slow start to life at The Memorial Ground last term when he struggled with injuries.

However, the former QPR hit-man has found his feet this term and already has seven goals to his name - including an impressive double against Oxford last weekend.

Now showing the kind of form that saw him play in The Premiership for Sheffield Wednesday at the age of just 18, Agogo is understood to have caught the eye of scouts in the higher leagues.

Swindon are known to be admirers of the powerful striker, but Championship sides are also thought to be monitoring his progress.

The player's agent Saif Rubie confirmed to skysports.com that he had fielded interest in his client, but claimed Agogo was focusing on maintaining his form for Rovers.

"There has been interest as you would expect given his performances this term, but Junior is not letting that affect him," Rubie stated.

"Junior is concentrating on getting as many goals as possible and helping Bristol Rovers push for promotion."
