Everton defender David Weir seems set to leave Goodison Park in the summer.Weir's current deal expires next summer and he is unlikely to be awarded a new contract.
The 34-year-old was disappointed to be told he will not win a new deal as he believes he still has a lot to offer.
"The manager has already said that, basically, there won't be another contract for me," Weir told the club's official website.
"Without presenting it in such black and white terms, he said this will probably be my last season and I probably won't be first choice.
"He wants to get younger players in. I am really playing to be noticed by another club but I have only played four games. I want to play until I am 40.
"I still think I have a lot to offer. Lots of older players are still playing and I think I have tried to look after myself."
