Fiore eyes Valencia exit
Stefano Fiore could leave Valencia after failing to claim a regular first-team place.
It has been claimed that Stefano Fiore is contemplating a return to Lazio after failing to secure a regular first-team place at Valencia. The Corriere dello Sport claims the player has intimated he is seriously considering his future at the Mestalla, despite only having joined the club this summer.
Fiore has only started just three of The Che's eight games this term and is unhappy at his bit-part role.
He faces strong competition for a place on the right side of midfield from Miguel Angel Angulo and Rufete as the reigning Spanish champions have a wealth of midfield talent.
The Corriere dello Sport does not quote the player directly about his desire to return to Italy, but use some of his recent declarations to illustrate the point.
The Italy international has stated that "the (Valencia) squad lacks atmosphere".
While they are quick to point out that the player does not regret having gone to Spain, it is claimed he will look to seal a return to Italy - and former club Lazio - in January, or at the end of the season.
