Roberts signs on

Swindon Town have concluded the transfer of Christian Roberts from Bristol City.

City reluctantly agreed a £50,000 deal with their League One rivals, having taken the decision that it was better to sell him now rather than risk losing him on a Bosman at the end of the season.

The former Exeter marksman swiftly agreed terms with Andy King's side and passed a medical on Thursday before putting his name to a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Roberts is looking forward to aiding his new club in their promotion bid.

"I think it is a decent club and I think they just need that extra push to get promotion," he told Swindon's website.
