Goals from Thierry Henry and Sylvain Wiltord gave France a 2-0 victory in Cyprus.

Raymond Domenech's side were looking to bounce back from their disappointing draw with Republic of Ireland on Saturday and they did so in Nicosia.

The opener came just seven minutes before the interval as France battled to break down a stubborn Cypriot backline.

The goal came from Wiltord after a fine which move saw Peguy Luyindula, Robert Pires and Patrick Vieira link-up to set the Lyon man clear.

The French then had to wait until the final moments of the game to seal the win.

Henry grabbed the goal with five minutes remaining after he was sent through by Olivier Dacourt.
