Burns to leave Well

Alex Burns is trying to reach an agreement to leave Motherwell.

The 31-year-old is unhappy with his lack of first team chances this season at Fir Park.

Burns has made just five appearances this term and the player's agent Tom Callaghan revealed they are working on cancelling his contract, with Partick Thistle keen to sign him again.

"We have been trying to agree a settlement with Motherwell for the remainder of Alex's contract," Callaghan told the Glasgow Evening Times.

"And there is firm interest from Partick Thistle. However, that is not the only interest there is."
