Kidderminster Harriers have enhanced their strike force by signing James Keene from Premiership club Portsmouth. As he was not on a professional contract at Pompey he joins the club on work experience.
This detail means that The Harriers have not used a loan allocation on the signing.
The 18-year-old has been on top form since he advanced into the Portsmouth reserves. He scored 12 goals in 11 games including a hat-trick against West Ham.
Keene will have his debut for the club, away at Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
"He is a young striker with a hunger to do well," Kidderminster boss Jan Molby told the club's official website.
"He has done very well this season and I know Portsmouth rate him very highly.
"He is eager to do well and we should benefit from that."
