Capel 'satisfied' at Prem link
Sevilla's Diego Capel is flattered by reported interest from The Premiership.
Sevilla starlet Diego Capel admits he is flattered by the reported interest of Manchester United and Arsenal. The 16-year-old became the second youngest player ever to represent Sevilla last weekend when he came on for the final minutes of the club's 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid.
There is much excitement in Spain about the talented left-sided midfielder who has unsurprisingly drawn comparisons with Jose Antonio Reyes (pictured).
Capel, who rejoined his hometown club after failing to settle in Barcelona's youth academy, conceded that Reyes is his 'reference'.
However, the teenager insists he is in no hurry to quit Spain for England like his idol.
"They (reports of interest from Arsenal and Man Utd) are rumours," he told AS. "For me it is satisfying to be linked with these great teams, but my mind is on my everyday work.
"What's more I am very happy here.
"I don't have words for the confidence Sevilla have shown in me.
"Reyes is the reference for all of us. He has made us see that from the most humble beginnings you can go on to great things."
Speaking about his debut against Atletico, he continued: "It was incredible, I will never forget it. When I went on to the pitch they were applauding me wildly.
"When I saw how they were responding to me I just had to get a touch of the ball. I wasn't leaving there without making an impression!"
