Rothen injury worry

Paris Saint Germain star Jerome Rothen is set for a spell on the sidelines.

Paris Saint Germain star Jerome Rothen is set for a longer spell on the sidelines after his ankle injury proved to be worse than initially feared.

The 26-year-old limped out of PSG's 2-0 victory over Porto in midweek with an ankle knock.

It had been hoped the star had only sprained his ankle, however scans have shown the injury is in fact a fracture.

Rothen will now require two months rest and is unlikely to return to first-team action before the turn of the New Year.

The loss of the key performer is a massive blow to PSG who have made a poor start to the season having claimed just two wins from their opening ten matches.
