Pauleta in Lisbon link

PSG striker Pedro Pauleta is rumoured to be keen on joining Sporting.

According to L'Equipe, Lisbon giants Sporting are interested in signing Pedro Pauleta from Paris Saint Germain.

The former Bordeaux star has endured a difficult start to the season in the French capital, scoring only twice. Moreover, the 31-year-old has never played in the Portuguese top-flight, and has said he would love to play in his own country before the end of his career.

The rumour is that Sporting's officials have made enquiries, with the striker responding by expressing his interest.

If his situation at PSG remains difficult when January's transfer window is reached, then the Portuguese star could be tempted back home. If not, then speculation suggests that a move could still occur in the summer.
