Posh land Purser

Peterborough United have completed the signing striker Wayne Purser.

Peterborough United have completed the signing striker Wayne Purser.

Purser has left financially stricken Hornchurch to agree a two-and-a-half year deal at London Road.

"Wayne has been in fine form for Hornchurch this season and throughout his career, he has scored a variety of goals," Posh boss Barry Fry told the club's official website.

"For a relatively small lad, he has great spring and is good in the air. He is a poacher and that is something we haven't got at the club at the minute."

Meanwhile, goalkeeper James Pullen has left the club to sign for Gravesend and striker Matt Nolan has signed a one-month deal with St Albans City.

In other news, Fry has appointed local businessman Graham Church to the club's board of directors.
