Sousa wants 96ers escape
Hannover's Ricardo Sousa has threatened to leave the Bundesliga side in the New Year.
Hannover's new signing Ricardo Sousa has threatened to leave the Bundesliga side in the winter transfer window after failing to break into Ewald Lienen's first team. The Portuguese midfielder, who joined The 96ers from Boavista, has failed to settle and is willing to throw in the towel after less than six months.
Ç£As things stand, it's the best option for all parties involved that I will leave the club in the winter," the playmaker told Kicker.
"It looks as if the whole deal had been a big misunderstanding.
Ç£I am fit and train well, there's nothing more I can do, but the team is successful without me and I accept the decision of the coach to leave me out."
Despite being thrashed 3-0 at Bayern Munich, Hannover are enjoying a successful season and are currently sixth in Die Bundesliga with 20 points after their first 12 games.
Sousa is now expected to return to his native Portugal.
