Sinclair out for season

Trevor Sinclair has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Manchester City's Trevor Sinclair has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The 31-year-old has suffered a fracture to the femur, as well as ligament damage.

Sinclair will have to be on crutches for three months, meaning he will not be able to regain his fitness before the end of the current season.

The England international played against Arsenal last month, one of just five appearances this season - but scans have now revealed the full extent of his problem.

Meanwhile, City defender Ben Thatcher faces a month out after undergoing an operation on his ankle complaint.
