Serbo-Montenegrin striker Ivica Iliev remains confident he made the right choice in joining Messina, despite his failure to score.Iliev linked up with the Serie A minnows during the summer after deciding to quit Partizan Belgrade in his homeland.
Clubs from Spain and Portugal, along with a couple of Messina's Serie A rivals were keen to recruit his services before he plumped for the promoted side.
But the 25-year-old's Italian sojourn has yet to take off, with Iliev still waiting to break his duck for Messina.
The forward, though, has no regrets about choosing Messina and is bullish about his prospects of reaching double figures for the season.
"Mallorca, Celta Vigo, Benfica, Livorno and Cagliari wanted me but Messina were the most convincing," Iliev told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I wish to score no less than 10 goals and no more than 15.
"For the moment Messina is my home. I want to leave my mark here, then in about two or three seasons I could go to a more important team. My dream is Juve."
