Feyenoord have opened contract talks with defensive starlet Karim Saidi.

Feyenoord striker Salomon Kalou was thought to be the main target, but Saidi is understood to have impressed.
Saidi only moved to Holland last year for ‚é¼380,000 from Club African, but he has already emerged as one of the best defenders in De Eredivisie.
The 21-year-old is contracted at De Kuip until 2008, but the club are already prepared to offer him a bumper new deal.
