Sky Blues receive Dhinsa email

Coventry City have received Jojar Dhinsa's written intention to buy the club.

Coventry City have confirmed they have received official contact from businessman Jojar Dhinsa stating his intention to buy the club.

The Coventry-born financier (pictured) has sent an email to Highfield Road chairman Mike McGinnity and stated he will launch a formal bid for the Midlands club by the end of the month.

"Please find this email as confirmation by me, Jojar S Dhinsa, that we will be making a formal bid for Coventry City Football Club," the email statement read.

"Our timeframe for this bid is approximately two weeks - ie: end of November 2004.

"I sincerely hope we can work something out and get CCFC back into The Premiership."

Dhinsa, who is chairman and chief executive officer of the Reading-based Athlone Group, first revealed his interest in taking over The Sky Blues back in April.

He told skysports.com that the efforts he is trying to make are for the best interests of the club and its supporters.

"I was born and raised in Coventry and I'm trying to do what is best for the fans of Coventry City," Dhinsa claimed.

Meanwhile, Sky Blues boss Peter Reid has opted not to extend the loan of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rohan Ricketts.

Ricketts returns to White Hart Lane after spending four weeks and making five starts for the Championship club.
