Riera injury blow

Bordeaux have lost midfielder Alberto Riera to injury until after the winter break.

The Spaniard had only recently returned to action following a lengthy spell out, but he has been struck down by a knee injury which will keep him out until next year.

Lilian Laslandes has joined Riera in the treatment room, but the striker's hernia complaint is only expected to keep him out for around a fortnight.

More positive news for Bordeaux is the imminent return to action of striker Jean Claude Darcheville.

Darcheville has been out for a year with a knee injury but he is expected back in action soon.
