Eto'o hails Barca win
Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o was delighted with his side' performance against Real Madrid.
Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o was delighted with his side's performance in the 3-0 win over arch-rivals Real Madrid on Saturday night.Eto'o was instrumental in the success scoring one and earning the penalty from which Ronaldinho scored.
The Cameroon international was all the more happy to score against his old club and help his side open up a seven point lead at the top of the table.
"It was a special game and all the more so to beat Madrid," said Eto'o.
"If we play this way, it will be difficult for teams to beat us, we outran and outplayed Madrid.
"I did not think of gaining revenge against Real. I only wanted a great match and to help my club get the three points."
Eto's admitted his goal was lucky after a defensive mix-up between Roberto Carlos and Iker Casillas allowed him to score and he also revealed Ronaldinho demanded the penalty which the African ace won.
"My goal was a question of fortune," added Eto'o. "After the penalty Ronaldinho demanded to take it with his eyes at me.
"That was no problem for me and I am happy to give the option to my companion."
The former Real Mallorca man is refusing to get carried away by Barca's commanding lead at the top of the table.
"The league is long and there is only a seven points difference between both sides," concluded Eto'o.
