N'Gotty relishes role

Bruno N'Gotty is enjoying his role as a senior professional at Bolton Wanderers.

The Frenchman is in his fourth season with the club and acknowledges that many of the players look to him for guidance.

"It is true that they consider me a key player," said N'Gotty.

"When there is a little matter to settle, people ask me.

"I have not been named for this role but it is natural as I am the third oldest player and am starting my fourth season at the club."

The 33-year-old defender believes that Bolton are well placed to build on last season's success.

"Last season we finished eighth in the league and reached the League Cup final," commented N'Gotty.

"This autumn we have continued our improvement.

"We are a cosmopolitan group and the new players have been integrated quickly - it is probably the key to our success."
